A multi-disciplinary artist with a current focus of photography, writing and healing. A lot of my love for photography and the image, is the narrative that lies behind it. How someone came to be. An interest. There is a lot of healing that comes for me behind the lens. To witness without having to look away, intentional engagement and gaze. To have a quiet moment. My work is intimate, with identity being a larger unifying theme. I deal with a lot of my internal world behind the lens and on the page. I wrestle with my many identities, while observing another. My large identities as a mother, a daughter, child of immigrants, Black and lover guide my work. I am in love with and driven to celebrate our vast identities and communities.
